German company 2wcom has announced that Canada’s national radio broadcaster CBC/Radio-Canada has taken delivery of more than 100 of its C02 RDS encoders for deployment nationwide.
According to 2wcom, its CO2 RDS/RDBS encoder offers radio broadcasters the full range of features needed for any kind of RDS implementation.
Compliant with CENELEC and UECP 7.x, the CO2 encoder supports EON, TMC, ODA, RP, RT+ and EWS (Early Warning System) data. With its capacity for eight different RDS configurations, it can handle both national and regionalized programs, explains the company.
Multiple ports allow remote control via RS-232 or by IP, and the ARCOS configuration software lets users set up, monitor and control the encoder. The system also allows the possibility to save and archive data for performance verification and testing.
