After 28 years of dedicated leadership, our esteemed CEO Werner Drews is bidding farewell to 2wcom Systems. Werner, who founded the company, has navigated 2wcom through numerous highs and lows, building it into the thriving enterprise it is today. His decision to let Leif Cipriani and Mirko Goldschmidt take over stems from a desire to explore new adventures with his wife, embarking on journeys around the world by sailboat.
Werner has prepared our future leaders, Leif Cipriani and Mirko Goldschmidt, through extensive “on-the-job training.”
Both Leif and Mirko have been integral members of the 2wcom team for over a decade, embodying the values and vision that Werner instilled. Leif will take charge of sales and development alongside our Head of Technology, Gunnar Johannsen. Mirko will manage operations, including production, procurement, and order processing. Werner is happy to hand over the reins now that the company is in such a strong position and confident that Leif and Mirko are ready to lead 2wcom into the future.
Werner’s legacy is still very much present in every corner of 2wcom. We recently established “Werner’s Coffee Place,” a cozy corner with comfortable seating and a digital picture frame where Werner shares photos from his sailing adventures. This special spot serves as a constant reminder of Werner’s enduring spirit and dedication.
In his final message to the 2wcom family, Werner expresses his gratitude to his team, customers, suppliers, and partners for their unwavering support and collaboration. He reflects on the values that have shaped 2wcom and looks forward to new personal adventures.
