8-Channel MPEG Encoder Expands AoIP portfolio

Long-time-grown experience and competence in development of versatile system solutions as welll as substantial feedbacks of our customers flows into the expansion of our AoIP product line. Now, the whole 2wcom team proudly introduces a new member of the AoIP solution family: The MM08E is a state of the art MPEG Encoder and offers absolute flexibility in dealing with SAT and IP environments.

By offering a sophisticated and extended application spectrum, the professional eight-stereo-channel MPEG encoder is designed for contribution, distribution, in-house streaming as well as studio-to-transmitter links.

Characteristic for MM08E is a complex range of system settings for managing multiple network interfaces and, at the same time, a simplicity in configuration by web interface or jog wheel.

The device supports all known audio-coding algorithms (Enhanced apt-X, AAC, MPEG I/II Layer 2/3, PCM) and offers various control possibilities (HTTP, Telnet, NMS and SNMP) as well as a high standard monitoring and alarm concept. Besides, one unit can generate multiple streams independently.

Transmission of auxciliary data and switching contact information (GPIO) is possible via integrated default interfaces.

Furthermore, technicians can fall back on reliable and well-constructed redundancy opportunities (like Pro-MPEG FEC or Dual Streaming) as well as a perfect management of ancillary data.

Very clever and cost efficient! Activation of additional hardware channels can be managed easily and convinient via software update. Two hot swapping slide-in power supply modules are ensuring operation without interruption. Rounded off with practical-oriented functions for quality management, controlling and monitoring, the device perfectly supports you handling everyday chalanges.
