FKT IBC Special – MM08E MPEG Encoder

The new 8-channel MM08E MPEG encoder offers a sophisticated and extended application spectrum and is designed for contribution, distribution, in-house streaming as well as studio-to-transmitter links. With its 8 channels (analog/digital), the MM08E provides you absolute flexibility in dealing with SAT or IP environments. Characteristic for MM08E is an enhanced range of system settings for managing multiple network interfaces and, at the same time, a simplicity in configuration by web interface or jog wheel. The device supports all known audio-coding algorithms (Enhanced apt-X, AAC, MPEG I/II Layer 2/3, PCM) as well as RDS data.

Besides one unit can generate multiple streams independently. Transmission of ancillary data and switching contact information (GPIO) is possible via integrated default interfaces.

Very clever and cost efficient! Activation of additional hardware channels can be managed easily and convenient via software update. Two hot swapping slide-in power supply modules are ensuring operation without interruption. Rounded off with practical-oriented functions for quality management (Pro MPEG FEC und DualStreaming), controlling (HTTP, Telnet, NMS and SNMP) as well as a high standard monitoring and alarm concept, the device perfectly supports you in handling everyday challenges.
