MPX-2d

The MPX-2d is a 2-channel decoder designed for MPX distribution via IP. Supporting MPX using PCM data or compressed µMPX, it is the perfect fit for cost-efficient operation of FM distribution networks.

Flexible in application: The MPX-2d offers exceptional flexibility for various setups and backup scenarios. It can be upgraded to support two decoder channels, allowing you to receive and decode two independent feeds. Additionally, the device enables the reception of feeds via IP, further expanding its versatility.

Smooth transition: Seamlessly transition from audio to MPX distribution with the MPX-2d. In addition to decoding MPX signals, it supports the decoding of regular audio feeds including the MPEG Layer 2 and AAC codecs, ensuring a smooth and effortless transition whenever needed.

Saving bandwidth: With the optional µMPX feature, the MPX-2d allows you to operate on a significantly reduced data capacity of approximately 320 kByte/s, while still maintaining excellent quality. This enables significant bandwidth savings without compromising the audio fidelity.

Cost-efficient: By utilizing MPX distribution, the MPX-2d offers cost savings in terms of capital expenditure, service, and support. It centralizes sound processing (stereo processing) at the studio or playout center, eliminating the need for extensive processing equipment at multiple transmitter locations.

Enhanced connectivity: Analog and digital MPX outputs, together with analog or digital outputs from the stereo decoder or IP audio decoder, offer a range of output possibilities to suit specific needs on site.
