We are very happy to share that our MPX-2c received a Best of Show Award at NAB 2026.
The award recognizes the new capability we showcased at NAB this year: the MPX-2c can now combine an HD Radio® E2X signal from any Exporter with an analog or digital MPX signal into one synchronized transport stream.
What is new
The MPX-2c itself is already an established product in the 2wcom portfolio. What is new is the capability shown at NAB.
Instead of transporting HD and FM separately, both signals can now travel together in one stream and remain aligned all the way to the transmitter. This simplifies the signal path and gives broadcasters a cleaner and easier way to handle hybrid radio distribution.
Live at NAB: Flensburg to California
To show this in practice, we set up a live demo at NAB 2026.
A combined FM + HD stream was sent from Flensburg, Germany to California, USA, covering more than 5,000 miles. Even over that distance, the signals stayed synchronized with SFN-level precision and without audible diversity delay.
For us, this was the right way to show that the capability is not just a feature on paper, but something that works in a real-world setup.
Why it matters
For broadcasters, this new capability means that HD and FM no longer need to be handled as separate paths.
The MPX-2c allows both to be transported together in one synchronized stream, supports analog and digital MPX, and works with any HD Radio® Exporter. It also supports compressed and uncompressed MPX transport, giving broadcasters flexibility depending on network conditions and available bandwidth.
The result is a simpler and more robust approach to hybrid radio distribution.
