At this year\u2019s LEaT con, we presented lydlink<\/strong>, our new Remote Production Bridge, for the first time. And instead of just showing the technology at our booth, we wanted visitors to experience what remote production with lydlink actually feels like.<\/p>\n So we connected our booth in Hamburg with our headquarters in Flensburg and brought a live production straight to the exhibition floor.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t For our live sessions during LEaT con, our canteen in Flensburg turned into a small live venue.<\/p>\n While the musicians performed in Flensburg, their audio was transmitted via lydlink to our booth in Hamburg. There, Bjarke and visitors could take over the mix themselves and work with a performance happening live in another city.<\/p>\n The setup showed the idea behind lydlink in practice: the people performing and the people handling the production no longer need to be in the same place.<\/p>\n And rather than only explaining the workflow, we could hand over the controls and let visitors experience it themselves.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t LEaT con was not the first time we put lydlink to the test.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, we tested the system at Wacken Open Air. The task was to create the broadcast mix for two stages, but instead of doing so from a hot and noisy production container behind the stage, the mix happened remotely from a studio in Flensburg.<\/p>\n All of this happened over a regular internet connection while around 80,000 Metalheads were celebrating at the festival.<\/p>\n After this first real-world test, LEaT con gave us the opportunity to take the next step and officially present lydlink while letting visitors try the workflow for themselves.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t lydlink is our Remote Production Bridge<\/strong>, designed to connect production locations over regular internet infrastructure.<\/p>\n The basic idea is simple: plug it in, establish the connection and focus on the production.<\/p>\n lydlink automatically calibrates itself and determines parameters such as latency, audio quality and codec. The connection can run over regular internet as well as 5G or Starlink, making the system flexible for different locations and production environments.<\/p>\n At the same time, low-latency and lossless audio transmission<\/strong> provides the foundation for professional remote audio workflows.<\/p>\n A 3rd-party Ethernet tunnel<\/strong> also makes it possible to integrate existing infrastructure into the connection.<\/p>\n The result is a workflow where the technology behind the connection stays in the background while the production itself remains the focus.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t At LEaT con, we presented three products within the lydlink setup:<\/p>\n Tap Briq<\/strong> lydlink lydBridge<\/strong> lydlink Client<\/strong> Together, the three options make it possible to build a remote production setup around different locations and requirements.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t LEaT con gave us the opportunity to do more than simply present a new product.<\/p>\n With musicians performing live in Flensburg and the mix happening at our booth in Hamburg, visitors could experience the concept behind lydlink as part of an actual live setup.<\/p>\n A big thank you to everyone who stopped by, took over the controls, asked questions and shared their feedback with us.<\/p>\n And, of course, thank you to everyone back in Flensburg who made our live sessions possible.<\/p>\n Interested in what\u2019s next for lydlink?
