MM01 AoIP Codec is a point to point or point to multipoint audio codec using IP-based audio network technologies (Layer 3) for real-time streaming and all standards for AoIP compatibility are supported (EBU TECH 3326 incl. SAP and RTSP, AES67, Ravenna, Livewire as well as Dante in future). Additionally, the device processes codec algorithms like MPEG I/II Layer 2/3, AAC LC, HE-AACv1&v2, AAC-LD, G.711, G.722, E-aptX and PCM. It’s equipped for redundancy management by providing mechanisms like DualStreaming, Stream4Sure and Pro-MPEG FEC to enhance transmission robustness. Thus, the MM01 is applicable in all kinds of AoIP networks – for example: SSL, STL, audio description or in-ear monitoring. It’s also capable to handle single frequency networks by its advanced latency control, which allows for synchronization up to the microsecond. Furthermore, requirement for best possible audio quality and at the same time transmission economy can optimally harmonized, depending on the given conditions. To easy use in changing day to day work settings the MM01 is offering a wide range of useful features like the new “Easy2connect” functionality to establish SIP connections with only one click. All features and system settings can be configured via an easy-to-use web interface.

FMC01 MPX over IP Codec is a groundbreaking compact device for high-quality FM MPX distribution via IP with short delays and microsecond accurate synchronization for single frequency networks (SFN). The device allows 100% loss less audio encoding and decoding of MPX audio bands (mono, stereo). To ensure best signal quality, the codec is equipped with high-end converters (ADC, DAC) and supports sample rates of 132-192 kHz with 16, 20 or 24 bits resolution. Integrated into FM studios, the device not only encodes the signal for FM MPX distribution via IP, but can also add additional forward error correction to increase transmission robustness. At transmitter site, the codec receives and outputs the FM MPX signal to the transmitter, as well as decode audio and RDS data for monitoring purposes. Hence, at transmitter site it is no longer necessary to generate the MPX signal, or to use a RDS encoder and stereo generator. Only at studio site a C02/C04 RDS encoder and a S02 stereo generator is still needed. As the first unit to combine encoder and decoder functions in the same chassis, the FMC01 offers significant operational advantages and infrastructure savings. Crucially important in this context, the device also ensures very low installation, service and maintenance costs.

MM08E – Eight-channel MPEG Encoder for absolute flexibility in dealing with SAT or IP environments. The MM08 encodes all common audio algorithms (EaptX, AAC, MPEG I/II Layer 2/3, PCM). Additionally, the Encoder can generate multiple independent streams. Transmission of ancillary and private data (PAD, RDS, etc.), as well as switching contact information (GPIO) can be forwarded via integrated interfaces. Activation of additional hardware channels can be managed easily and conveniently via software update. An optional second hot swappable slide-in power supply enables uninterrupted device operation during operation. The whole package is rounded out by offering functions for quality management (MPEG FEC and DualStreaming to avoid IP packet loss), controlling (HTTP, Telnet, NMS and SNMP) and monitoring (IP and MPEG parameters via SNMP v2c and relay, headphone output and alarm, source switch & event logging). Combined with the eSIRC (enhanced Satellite Inband Remote Control) Server and FlexDSR series satellite receivers, this homogeneous global solution enables broadcasters to distribute and broadcast local programs and to fully control the entire distribution chain with a satellite IP solution.

FlexDSR02+ and FlexDSR04+ professional IRD Satellite Receivers well-known for broadcasting of local content, diverse backup solutions and comprehensive functionalities regarding monitoring applications. The long-established IRD SAT Receivers are equipped with state-of-the art technology.  It is possible to handle transport streams via satellite (DVB-S/S2), ASI input and IP, while also managing elementary audio streams and Icecast streams via IP. Processing all common coding algorithms like E-aptX, AAC, MPEG I/II Layer 2/3 or PCM, the multipurpose devices include a sophisticated concept for audio quality and redundancy options – e. g. Pro-MPEG FEC to compensate for IP packet loss and redundancy DualStreaming. Both receivers offer fallback options by automatically detecting and switching over to the best signal source available. Furthermore, FlexDSR02+ offers the option of a dual tuner for simultaneous reception of two transponders.

eSIRC (enhanced Satellite Inband Remote Control) allows perfect remote control for hybrid IP/SAT networks. The cost efficient and web-based software eSIRC Server is most suitable for regional broadcasting, quality control and management of local audio content, jingles, schedule and firmware files – while saving time and money. Operators are able to completely access the eSIRC management system via web interface from any computer within the network for uploading data files to the internal memory of MM08E Encoders, DSR01 receivers and FlexDSR02+/04+ receivers (such as firmware, audio, reports and configuration). The content provided by eSIRC can be processed immediately and without delay or can be scheduled for processing at a certain point in time. For each SD card installed in the receivers, there is a separate directory on the eSIRC server, into which all distributed files are written. System operators can fall back on these data mirrors in case a SD card has to be exchanged or if high data volume has to be distributed and bandwidth is not sufficient.

A30 Monitoring Receiver provides a versatile range of options for measurement, control, alarm and demodulation. Since launch last year, 2wcom equipped the device with several new features such as a DAB+ module and MPX measurement options. Additionally, the device can now function as a backup Rebroadcast Receiver and as a RDS-Databridge as well. The A30 allows operators to effortlessly configure system settings for each station individually (parameters like RF level, pilot signal, MPX power and deviation, RDS synchronization, TA, PI etc.). The device offers various possibilities for FM and DAB+ monitoring. For example, the two integrated tuners can simultaneously monitor two FM stations day and night, but second tuner can also monitor up to 30 broadcasting stations using scan mode. Furthermore, the sophisticated web interface for MPX measurements allows technicians to perfectly control the MPX deviation according to the requirements of regulation authorities. The DAB+ module allows the monitoring of parameters like RF level, FIC quality, audio level or image slideshow (SLS). If a value does not comply with the pre-settings, an alarm can be forwarded via SNMP, Email or relay to a service center. All alarm activities are being logged and stored with time stamp, type of alert and the equivalent frequency.

FM2TS – Eight-channel Gateway / Transcoder is a versatile device for various fields of applications, creating and transcoding up to eight FM radio programs into separate single program transport streams (SPTS), as well as into multiple program transport streams (MPTS). Cable network operators integrate the FM2TS to convert regional FM-radio programs (audio signal and RDS) into MPEG-2 transport streams for further processing in their cable head-ends infrastructure. Radio Broadcasters can stream up to eight FM channels for quality assurance as part of a FM monitoring solution. Additional highlights are a SFP connector for optical fiber application (optional), RDS data forwarding and an antenna switching matrix.

DAB+ – FlexNsert and FlexXtract enable broadcasters to use existing legacy as well as new IP-capable transmitters at the same time and to distribute DAB+ signals via satellite for remote, inaccessible and rural areas that cannot be served by IP landlines or direct beam connections. The FlexNsert+ DAB+ distribution inserter can receive a DAB ETI data stream (according to EN 300799) or a DAB EDI data stream (according to TS 102 693), converts the data stream into a standard MPEG2-TS-signal and outputs it via its transport stream interfaces (IP and ASI). The FlexXtract+ distribution extractor demodulates incoming EDI data via IP, ASI or from a DVB-S or DVB-S2 signal and converts the incoming DAB+ data stream (EDI) into a standard ETI signal (according to EN 300799) or an EDI signal (according to TS 102 693) to feed DAB or DAB+ transmitters. In case the DAB+ signal is transmitted via E1 and SAT in paralell, FlexXtract is able to receive both for further synchronized transmission.
