Werner Drews is founder and managing director of
2wcom GmbH based in Flensburg. Werner founded the
company in 1996 and has built it up to one of the
world’s leaders in the area of development and international marketing of systems for wireless and digital
information transfer.
Core competence of the owner managed 2wcom GmbH are system integration and a wide range of broadcast applications in the field of FM/RDS/RBDS (Radio-Data- System) as well as the development and production of measurement devices and monitoring units for all current DVB standards.
Development and production of 2wcom products is centered in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, where 2wcom is headquartered.
In 2005, 2wcom created viaRadio Corporation, a US based subsidiary based in Melbourne/Florida, to develop the American market.

| 1996 | Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG quits the support for FM/RDS systems, and contracts with Werner Drews to perform this function through a start-up company in the “Technologiezentrum Flensburg”. |
| 2000 | The company changed its name and legal form to 2wcom GmbH. |
| 2005 | Founded viaRadio Corporation, in Melbourne/Florida, to develop the US market. |
| Today | With its 30 employees, mainly high skilled engineers and technicians, 2wcom GmbH is still growing. Construction of a new larger facility in Flensburg was started in 2007 and will be completed in 2008. |
Werner Drews (married, 3 children) lives in Munkbrarup near Flensburg. In his spare time he enjoys photography, gardening and traveling with his family both in Germany and internationally.
