First installation of TCP/IP network for RDS encoder

Flensburg, Berlin/Germany, November 2000. The Remote Control Management (RCM) enables you to control and monitor your equipment on remote sites economically and efficient.

At Deutsche Telekom AG (DTAG), on top of the well known transmitter-site 'Alex' in the center of Berlin (Alexanderplatz) 2wcom installed the first units of their RCM-system to manage and control all RDS encoder nationwide from a single service location.

Todays technology of the internet and networks in general, offers a way to collect and check data, with any network enabled device from almost anywhere on the planet. The 2wcom Network Management Concept offers a convenient way to control, update and verify your RDS encoder from almost anywhere. For example you can access your TCP/IP enabled devices with your web-browser or the device can be configured to send e-mail / SMS / SNMP traps to dedicated machines / devices on failure detection.
