2wcom DVB-T Monitoring System for your DVB-T Broadcast Network
The FlexMon DVB-T Digital Terrestrial Monitoring Receiver is the central part of the monitoring system. This unit receives and controls all data coming through the different unit inputs. Depending on your needs and your network set-up various input and output interfaces can be involved in the flexible monitoring strategies.
In general all monitoring activities can be founded on two different sources. Transmitter RF-output, by using the internal DVB-T receivers and ASI Input stream, from distribution network to the transmitter.
Our Concept:
2wcoms DVB-T monitoring concept is based on one DVB-T Digital Terrestrial Monitoring Receiver at each transmitter site. In contrast to the conventional impulse response measurement with only one monitoring device for multiple channels the key advantage of this approach is that you can not only recognize which channel is producing an error but also which of the monitored stations is responsible for it.
According to customer requirements, we have developed an excellent cost effective product, that monitors the time at the entrance of the channel (distribution) and at the output of the transmitter (transmission). In addition we measure and compare the externally supplied 1 pps / 10 MHz signal at the transmitter with our internal 1 pps / 10 MHz signal.
Any discrepancies are detected at once and an immediate alert let you know right away and in time what transmitter is causing the problem before reception is not possible anymore. Even a small "drift" of time synchronization can thus be identified very quickly.
