Redundancy solution for the satellite DAB+ receiver FlexXtract DAB
The 2wcom redundancy solution for the satellite receiver FlexXtract DAB+ ETI consists of two FlexXtract DAB+ receivers: A master unit FlexXtract DAB+ and a redundancy device FlexXtract DAB+.
The master unit FlexXtract DAB+ has a satellite input and an ETI backup input. The redundancy unit is a standard FlexXtract DAB+ device that continuously receives a satellite DAB data stream and converts it into an ETI stream. This ETI stream is being routed to the backup input of the master device FlexXtract DAB+.
The Master FlexXtract DAB+ continuously monitors the DAB ETI data stream delivered via satellite in order to detect data failures and usually sends the DAB ETI data stream to the ETI output. In case of a failure the ETI backup input will be switched over to the ETI output via a relay.
The relay switch is also carried out in the case of a power failure of the master FlexXtract DAB+.
