Company history
The former Rohde & Schwarz development engineer Werner Drews took over the FM/RDS product range from Rohde & Schwarz in 1996. With the buyout of this field of business 2wcom started its technological leadership in the field of FM/RDS.
Development and production of 2wcom products is centered in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, where 2wcom is headquartered. In 2005, 2wcom founded the subsidiary viaRadio Corporation, based in Melbourne/Florida, to develop the American market.
In 2008 2wcom moved into their newly built spacious office building. Here new technologies and modern architecture meet the innovative spirit of the 2wcom team. In this open and creative environment developments for the future are being made.

DVB-T Monitoring
The 2wcom DVB-T Monitoring project is co-financed by the Programme for the Future - Economy.
For the period 2007 – 2013, the Programme for the Future – Economy – comprises roughly EURO 752 m. for economic and regional promotion in Schleswig-Holstein, thereof ca. EURO 374 m. out of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), ca. EURO 173 m. out of the Federal/State Joint Agreement “Improvement of Regional Economic Structures” (GRW) plus a special programme of additional EURO 30 m. out of the Economy Stimulation Package I, and complementary State Funds of ca. EURO 175 m.
For the funding period 2007 – 2013, the Programme for the Future Schleswig-Holstein forms the roof covering the Programmes for the Future Economy, Labour, Rural Areas, and Fisheries. The Programme for the Future Schleswig-Holstein with a funding volume of EURO 1.4 bn. stands for more economy and employment,
for more innovation and quality of life in Schleswig-Holstein.
