With the DSR01 Digital Satellite Receiver the team of 2wcom has proven its DVB-S expertise. Customers who already had the chance to test this state-of-the-art Digital Satellite Receiver were enthusiastic right away and very impressed by the professional boot up time of 2-3 seconds. Planned as a modular system that could be upgrated at any time the DSR01 is well suited for flexible broadcast applications.

Headroom Broadcast and 2wcom GmbH exhibit together for the first time at the ANGACable 2008 in Cologne
At this year’s ANGA Cable, Europe´s leading Exhibition and Congress for Cable, Broadband & Satellite, Headroom Broadcast from Berlin/Germany and the Northern German Satellite Receiver specialist 2wcom exhibit together for the first time.
The focus at the booth of Headroom Broadcast will be the presentation of a new DVB Audio chain, completely made in Germany. This consists of the MXTS from Headroom Broadcast, that encodes up to 19 audio programs into a DVB-TS, and the professional Satellite Receiver DSR01 from 2wcom.

RDS Forum Meeting, Geneva, Switzerland, June 16-17, 2008
The RDS Forum is a worldwide association of professional users of RDS technology.
2wcom is member of the RDS Forum since 1996.
Contrary to previous announcements and forecasts the Radio Data System (RDS) is a modern used technology, which will be available for at least the next 15 years. For instance DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) has not been reached the aim as originally expected. One reason therefore is certainly that the end customer cannot recognize an advantage in using a DAB radio. Pay services as TMC pro and Radiotext plus are still being transmitted via RDS. Due to that fact the annual RDS Forum meeting is still a vital event for all people working on RDS developments.
